DAY 1: Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington
Arrive at the airport and transfer to your hotel. This evening, attend a pre-trip briefing that includes instructions for packing your "dry bags." Quality Inn & Suites

DAY 2: Clarkston/Whitebird, Idaho/Salmon River
After breakfast, transfer by road to the raft launch site by Whitebird, Idaho, to begin your 50-mile adventure on the Salmon River through the Lower Gorges. On this first of five spectacular days in the Idaho wilderness, easy whitewater and lazy floating for the first few miles allow plenty of time to practice your paddle skills while the guides also help you spot area wildlife. DAYS 3-5: Salmon River
Each invigorating day on the Salmon River includes two to three hours of rafting excitement, mornings and afternoons. In the evening, relax at your campsite, which is set on big, sandy beaches. Your time off the river is filled with hikes to historic sites of famous explorers and local tribes, swimming in the warm water and games and activities that include bocce ball and volleyball. DAY 6: Salmon River/Clarkston/Lewiston
Reach the confluence of the Salmon and Snake Rivers at midday, then board a chartered high-speed jet boat for a thrilling ride in the lower reaches of Hell's Canyon to Clarkston. Arrive in Clarkston in the late afternoon and transfer to the airport to catch your homebound flight. B L
