Continue on to view the still-in-progress Crazy Horse Memorial; begun in the 1940s, it is one of the largest sculptures in the world. Cross into Utah along the Great Salt Lake to Salt Lake City, surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains. Dinner is on your own tonight. End your evening with a fascinating lecture about the ecology of the Great Salt Lake Basin with a local expert at your hotel.
